Creation workflows · Planned scope

From archive discovery to reviewed content

Finding material, creating a draft and earning permission to publish are different stages. Keep them separate when planning AI-assisted production.

Discovery is not publication.

A source may be useful to research without being available for redistribution. A transcript may help locate a quotation without being accurate enough to publish. An image may resemble the right subject without documenting the right event.

Start by finding and checking the material. Then make a separate decision about what may be reused and in what context.

Separate analysis from creation.

Audio transcription analyzes an existing recording. Narration creates a new one. Video evidence review investigates an existing recording; a video builder assembles a new presentation. Success in one workflow does not prove the other is ready.

This distinction matters when reviewing a software demonstration. Ask which operation actually ran, which file was produced and what remains a planned step.

A bounded production example.

Imagine an author working with an owned manuscript and approved photographs. A planned workflow could prepare chapter text, produce local narration, perform listening review and combine a selected excerpt with a small image set for an MP4 presentation.

A person still checks omitted text, pronunciation, title accuracy, image timing, rights and the exported file. These are illustrative production steps, not a claim of a finished VAIMS audiobook or editing service.

Use the same business test.

Does the new process reduce the work needed to reach an approved output, or shift work into correction? What happens when an output is wrong? Who decides it is ready?

VAIMS’s bounded personal Pilot scope includes narration and basic video-creation goals. Available functions are confirmed separately; availability must be confirmed for a specific workflow and build.
